Set up your tent, caravan, or motorhome on a spacious pitch, right by the water or in the shade of the trees. Unwind on the sandy beach, enjoy a swim in the lake, or share a friendly moment on the multisports field or over a game of volleyball. Children will love the playground, while nature lovers can set off to explore the many hiking and mountain biking trails that wind through the surrounding countryside. In summer, our snack-bar restaurant welcomes you for drinks on the terrace or a delicious meal in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
From the campsite, set out to discover the treasures of Moselle: the forests of the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park, the iconic rocks of the Pays de Bitche, nearby castles and citadels, and typical villages where you can sample local specialties and traditions.

On site, four washroom blocks are spread throughout the campsite, ensuring easy access from all pitches. NATURAL SWIMMING & BEACH
Enjoy direct access to the sandy beach and natural swimming in Lake Hanau—a relaxing spot at the heart of a preserved natural setting. The calm waters of this 18-hectare lake are perfect for cooling off, relaxing, or playing by the water with the family. Surrounded by forest and overlooked by the ruins of the medieval Waldeck castle, the lake is a peaceful haven, ideal for unwinding and escaping the crowds.
Swimming is supervised during the summer season to ensure everyone’s safety. Camping guests enjoy free access to the beach, while outside visitors pay an entrance fee. With no motorboats allowed, the lake remains calm and tranquil, perfect for relaxation. Pedalos, paddle boards, and walking trails around the water let you make the most of your day outdoors.

From the moment you arrive and throughout your stay, the Camping Hanau Plage team is on hand to welcome you, help you settle in, and provide information about the campsite, activities, and local walks to help you discover the Vosges. A reception desk at the entrance is available to answer your questions and assist you during your stay.

FOOD SERVICES
Every morning, order fresh bread and pastries delivered by the local bakery. The campsite’s snack-bar restaurant welcomes you for a tasty break, a drink on the terrace, or an evening meal in July and August.

LEISURE & ACTIVITIES
Every day at the campsite is an opportunity to enjoy simple, friendly moments outdoors. Children can meet up at the playground, while older kids and adults can challenge each other to a game of basketball on the multisports field or beach volleyball, with family or friends, in a relaxed and sporty atmosphere surrounded by nature.

The Pays de Bitche
Set out to explore a region full of character, marked by its history and landscapes. Bitche, a “Petite Cité de Caractère”, is a must-see with its impressive citadel and panoramic views over the surrounding hills. Nearby, villages and forest sites reveal an authentic, lesser-known Moselle—perfect for slowing down and soaking up the atmosphere.
Local Craftsmanship: The Saint-Louis Crystalworks
If your travels take you to Saint-Louis-lès-Bitche, discover the expertise of France’s oldest crystalworks. In the factory, master craftsmen transform raw materials into light, creating the prestigious Saint-Louis Crystal. BY CAR
From Strasbourg, take the A4 motorway towards Paris, then exit towards Haguenau. Follow signs to Niederbronn-les-Bains, then Philippsbourg via the D1062. At the entrance to the village, follow signs for Lake Hanau and Camping Hanau Plage, located right on the water’s edge.

BY TRAIN
From Strasbourg, take a TER train to Niederbronn-les-Bains, then another TER towards Philippsbourg. On arrival, the campsite is about 5 km from the station—a taxi can take you the rest of the way to Camping Hanau Plage.
